With the well-known snow groomers of the ‘PistenBully’ brand, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG achieves an impressive world market share of over 50 per cent.

Challenge

With the previously single, strong product brand ‘PistenBully’ and a further five separate, very different product brands on a total of seven different websites, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG remained virtually invisible as an umbrella brand.

Close teamwork resulted in a multi-domain solution that positions the company as a holistic solution provider for the individual brands with standardised branding and is also flexible in the maintenance of individual product pages.

Global website for off-road specialists

 

Before designing and implementing the new website for the company, we first developed the global brand strategy in a preceding strategy phase. This was because with the previously strong, stand-alone product brand ‘PistenBully’ and a further five separate, very different product brands on a total of seven different websites, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG remained virtually invisible as an umbrella brand. As separate branding was out of the question, we opted for a multi-domain solution with standardised branding that positions the company as a holistic solution provider for the individual brands and is also flexible when it comes to maintaining individual product pages.

Paving the way for a modern user experience

 

The PistenBully for ski slopes and cross-country trails, the PowerBully for rough terrain, BeachTech for professional beach cleaning ... these are just three of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG's six brands. In a multi-domain site, Kässbohrer AG is visible as an umbrella brand - users who are on the pages of the product brands will find the reference to the umbrella brand in an additional global navigation level. A uniform structure of the content elements and product pages between the product brands increases the recognition value and ensures a coherent appearance - with the brand colour as the respective accent colour to separate the solutions from each other individually.

 

On the home page itself, we created a separate Kässbohrer world that is as lively as the terrain itself. Parallax effects and transitions allow users to literally immerse themselves in the terrain and discover the company's range of services in its various specialisms.

Products that can be experienced down to the smallest detail

 

The products of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG are also brought to life through ‘showroom’ elements - users can interactively view the exterior and interior of the vehicles and, with the help of hotspots, delve deeper into the information on various features in the respective vehicle.

 

The brand-specific navigation impresses with its service-orientation. Here, users have various options for making contact and a quick link to the spare parts shop. The contact module updates dynamically depending on which page the user is coming from, helping them to find the relevant individual contact person in the desired area and location easily and effortlessly.

Multi-Sites Setup in NEOS

 

We worked with a multi-site setup in NEOS to display a total of seven websites for umbrella and product brands in one CMS system. The modern CMS enables the customer to configure and use individually developed content themselves via an inline WYSIWYG editor. A global product database displays the vehicles and accessories consistently across all brand sites. With the help of Elasticsearch, we increased the performance of the website many times over, while the JavaScript framework Vue was used for individual modules (home page parallax visual, product database, contact persons, jobs).
